Domestic Baggage Logistics Management Software Deployed at Two Sheremetyevo Terminals
It is expected to eventually cover the entire airport.
Sheremetyevo Airport and Reksoft have completed a project to develop domestic software for an automated baggage handling system. The solution has already been deployed at Terminals D and E, as well as in the inter-terminal passage. The new system is expected to go live at Terminals B and C soon. Specialists are carrying out the necessary preparations.
This is the first solution of its kind in Russia for managing baggage logistics. The automation creates a unified environment covering the airport's terminals and the inter-terminal passage.
"The project is genuinely complex, and certain difficulties do arise during software deployment, but the IT integrator's team resolves them promptly. We see progress and are confident the project will be completed successfully," explained Dmitry Ilyin, Deputy Director General for Information Technology at Sheremetyevo.
