The creative economy is closely intertwined with modern technology. This connection will be among the topics at the II Global Digital Forum, which will take place in Moscow from Oct. 8 to 10. Marina Mongush, president of the Unified Center for Creative Economy (Creative Economy autonomous nonprofit organization), will be among the participants. She will give a lecture titled “The Digital Future of the Creative Economy.”

Mongush will examine issues related to the shift toward a platform-based model.

“Platforms are no longer neutral distribution channels: they simultaneously connect creators, audiences, businesses and investors, concentrate data, manage recommendations and visibility, set the rules for market access and monetization models. Platformization already spans the entire life cycle of a creative product – from finding an idea, financing and production to promotion, sales, feedback and content reuse,” the forum organizers explained.

During her lecture, Marina Mongush will discuss what Russia’s creative economy looks like, the role platforms play in it and how they are changing the production of creative content.
