Russian Cloud Provider Unveils Certified Environment for Connecting to Government Information Systems
Russian companies will have an easier time working with government information systems. K2 Cloud, part of the K2Tech brand ecosystem, is offering customers a convenient way to connect to these systems through its own certified security environment.

Experts predict that this digital solution could cut costs for a range of businesses, including banks, healthcare providers, transportation companies and travel agencies, while reducing the workload on their in-house IT teams.
It’s All in the Cloud
This service is particularly important for organizations that work directly with the public. Moving government services online has simplified many everyday processes, but it has also placed new responsibilities on the organizations using them. After all, most government information systems process citizens’ personal data.
Any company that connects to a government information system must comply with data protection requirements. That means appointing staff responsible for information security, developing internal security standards and procedures, communicating them to employees and contractors, and coordinating the work of IT teams, information security departments and the business units that use government systems.
K2 Cloud offers a ready-to-use digital solution: a certified environment for connecting to government information systems. The adapter is hosted in K2 Cloud’s infrastructure, which already meets the requirements of Order No. 117 issued by Russia’s Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC). Organizations can host information systems in the cloud that need to exchange data securely with government platforms. The infrastructure is ready to use, and the cloud provider’staff help integrate a customer’s information system and guide the process through certification. The time from application to certification is now expected to be about two months.

Savings of Up to 60%
The developers say the product’s total cost of ownership over a two-year period is 60% lower than the cost of deploying and maintaining a dedicated security environment. Customers no longer need to purchase and maintain the infrastructure themselves: the necessary resources and some specialized work are provided as a service. K2 Cloud’s offering supports initial connections to government information systems, upgrades to existing environments and recertification to meet the updated requirements of FSTEC Order No. 117.
The environment supports connections to the Interagency Electronic Interaction System (SMEV), the Unified Identification and Authentication System (ESIA), the Regional Navigation and Information System (RNIS), the Automated Taxi Information System (AIS Taxi), the Unified State Health Information System (EGISZ) and the Electronic Voucher system. The product is designed for companies legally required to work with government information platforms, including financial services providers, healthcare and logistics companies, travel agencies, courier services and many others.

Making Government Interactions Easier
K2 Cloud’s solution brings together cloud resources, security tools, integration setup and support through the certification process in a single service. It helps companies across a range of industries connect to government information systems more quickly and easily, without having to hire additional experts in information security, network architecture, cryptographic protection, documentation and certification.
According to the developer’s estimates, the product will deliver significant savings by reducing upfront investment while maintaining oversight of information security and compliance with legal requirements. In the future, these secure environments could make it easier for Russian businesses to interact with government systems and lower the technical barriers they face.
The product is currently tailored to the Russian market, but could eventually be offered internationally. Experts identify three potential export paths. First, individual components of the solution could be adapted to meet the requirements of foreign customers. Second, the company could supply integrated services to regulated industries. Third, the developer could offer services for designing secure environments.
