Russia Develops Software to Automate Gas Distribution Operations
The new platform streamlines the full workflow of gas utilities – from property records to equipment maintenance.

Software designed to automate the operations of gas distribution companies has been developed and officially registered at Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI.
The platform covers multiple stages of the process, including the registration of properties slated for gasification, contract and claims management, all phases of gas connection, technical maintenance, and integration with geographic information systems.
Seamless Integration and More Than 20 Registries
According to Oleg Avrunev, director of the university’s Informatization Center and head of Digital Development at NSTU NETI, the software incorporates more than 20 specialized registries. These include databases of organizations, households, gasification and equipment service contracts, gas distribution system assets, applications for technical specifications and project approvals, as well as records of repair work and equipment replacement.
Earlier, researchers at Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI developed software to calculate pollutant emissions from aircraft. The data can be used in designing sanitary protection zones for airports.
