Russia Showcases “Extractive” Digital Tech in Abu Dhabi

At ADIPEC 2025, Perm-based companies unveiled smart oilfield systems and digital equipment models, signaling Russia’s growing tech ambitions in the global energy market.

Russian industrial firms are making a strong international push with a lineup of digital oil and gas solutions presented at ADIPEC 2025, one of the world’s largest energy expos, held in Abu Dhabi. The joint booth of Perm Krai featured digital twins of extraction systems, smart monitoring tools, and advanced industrial hardware.

Among the exhibitors were PSS Export, Poliex, ELKAM, MIRAX, and the Research and Education Center for Rational Subsurface Use, which demonstrated technologies ranging from electrical protection devices and gas analyzers to turbogenerators and EV charging stations.

From Electric Cars to Salt-Based Extraction Systems

Alexander Redekop, CEO of PPMTS Permsnabsbyt, said his company’s active corrosion protection system has already become a Russian market leader. With the UAE’s accelerating shift toward electric transport, he added, the prospects for international expansion are “obvious.”

Meanwhile, Poliex showcased its compact salt systems and chemical compounds for production intensification, designed and manufactured entirely in Russia — and ready for deployment in the Middle East.

Perm’s participation in ADIPEC underscores Russia’s drive to digitize and modernize its industrial base, using high technology as a key lever for export growth and global competitiveness. The region’s companies are positioning themselves not just as suppliers of raw materials, but as creators of smart, data-driven industrial ecosystems.
