Russia’s “Gosuslugi” Platform Is Building a Smart Navigator for Young Families

Russia’s flagship e-government platform, Gosuslugi, is getting a family-friendly upgrade
A new “support navigator” designed specifically for young families will soon help users find and access benefits, subsidies, and social programs—all from a single digital dashboard.
The initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Digital Development, according to TASS. The navigator will be integrated into Russia’s growing “single window” ecosystem, which already serves students across 458 universities.
Think of it as a personalized GPS for state support. Whether a family needs childcare subsidies, housing assistance, or tuition waivers, the tool will highlight what’s available—federal, regional, or university-based—and how to claim it.
Education Minister Valery Falkov notes that over 25,700 young families are currently enrolled in Russian universities, with roughly half already raising children. The goal? Streamline their access to public assistance and make balancing lectures and lullabies a little easier.
Today, 90% of Russians use Gosuslugi for digital government services, and the system fields millions of requests daily—many of which are already handled by a chatbot named Max. With the new navigator in the works, social support in Russia is getting smarter, faster, and more humane.
