Russia Ships Reactor Cooling Equipment to Chinese Nuclear Plant

Rosatom’s global expansion continues with a shipment from Petrozavodskmash for a safety system at a Chinese power unit.

Russia's nuclear technology is attracting strong interest from allied countries. Most recently, Petrozavodskmash—a manufacturing subsidiary of Rosatom—shipped a reactor core emergency cooling system tank for a Chinese nuclear power plant. The equipment is designed to automatically deliver coolant to the reactor core in case of emergency.

Petrozavodskmash is a leading facility in the nuclear sector and is deeply integrated into Rosatom's international projects. The plant regularly employs digital technologies and produces specialized components used in all of Rosatom’s nuclear power construction efforts.

Industry experts highlight that demand for Russian nuclear solutions remains high globally. Rosatom is a world leader in building nuclear power plants abroad and continues to expand its international footprint. Domestically, Russia plans to add 38 new nuclear power units by 2042—all based on safe and environmentally responsible nuclear technologies.
