Russia Scores High in Digital Literacy at National Tech Forum

Government officials and business leaders posted strong results in cybersecurity and AI knowledge tests at the 10th CIPR conference.

At the 10th annual Digital Industry of Industrial Russia (CIPR) conference, Russian participants—including civil servants, corporate executives, and academics—demonstrated impressive digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness.

The assessments, hosted on the 'TsifrAtest' platform, included 8, 16, or 24 questions covering topics such as phone scams, spam protection, secure messaging app usage, phishing, government portal access, and the use of AI technologies in professional settings.

Respondents included employees from 23 major Russian corporations and 25 government institutions. On average, 78% of the questions were answered correctly. The overall digital literacy score reached 79%, while university-affiliated participants averaged slightly lower at 69%.

The findings were announced by the ANO 'Digital Economy' organization, which highlighted the need to continue improving cybersecurity practices. Officials noted that many government entities have already implemented electronic document management, but the human factor remains critical to cybersecurity. Employee awareness and behavior will play a key role in strengthening the country’s digital resilience.
