Participants visited the university’s research nuclear reactor and facilities operated by Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk and Gazpromneft-Vostok. Each year, motivated school students from 64 Russian regions and 63 countries choose the university to pursue a high-quality education.

“To help students develop an understanding of engineering professions and technical degree programs, and make informed career choices, we organize career guidance events, including the Engineering Camp. Its program features not only tours but also themed workshops and an Atomic Quiz,” the camp organizers said.

During the workshops, participants tried their hand at lighting design and chemical analysis, learned to develop intelligent control systems for technical facilities, and explored careers in artificial intelligence.

The project, Mission: Engineer – An Ecosystem for Developing Siberia’s Future Engineers, was implemented with grant support from the Movement of the First and Tomsk Polytechnic University.
