Russia Is to Move Agricultural Production Into a Digital Environment
Authorities plan to centralize data on farmland, machinery, and operations within a unified digital system

The All-Russian Research Institute of Corn is rolling out a specialized digital platform, SmartAgro, to manage agricultural production.
The system will consolidate data on land plots, agricultural machinery, and technological operations into a single information environment. The platform will enable monitoring of fieldwork and track equipment performance parameters. It will also allow production data to be organized for each individual field.
Single-Window Access
Institute officials said the adoption of digital tools will make production processes more transparent, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen decision-making.
Earlier reports said Russia is developing a unified digital platform for the agricultural and fisheries sectors. Existing information systems are to be integrated into a single framework to simplify management of the agro-industrial complex. The new platform is expected to include training tools, as well as data on scientific advances and the adoption of innovations.
