AI Chatbot to Plan Wellness Vacations in Russia’s Altai Region
A new digital assistant in the resort town of Belokurikha will help travelers design personalized treatment and relaxation programs based on their health and preferences.
An AI-powered chatbot is being developed for tourists visiting Belokurikha, a well-known spa destination in Russia’s Altai region. The project was announced by Natalya Teplova, deputy head of the Belokurikha city administration, during the 8th Siberian Forum on Wellness and Medical Tourism.
According to Teplova, the idea emerged from a business request last year to build a digital tourism platform. As development progressed, the team decided to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem for the resort.
A Personalized Approach to Health Tourism
The system will offer personalized itineraries that combine spa services, medical therapy, transport, excursions, and entertainment. Built on a unified digital portal, the AI assistant will connect 17 sanatoriums and 24 hotels across the city.
Development of the full digital platform is scheduled for 2026, positioning Belokurikha as a pioneer of AI-driven wellness tourism in Russia—where health, leisure, and technology are beginning to blend into one seamless experience.
