Gala Production Executive Assesses AI's Role in Filmmaking
Artificial intelligence has the potential to significantly accelerate film production, but doing so requires substantial computing resources and skilled professionals, according to Galina Strizhevskaya, Executive Producer at Gala Production.
Strizhevskaya said AI-driven film projects require powerful computing infrastructure, servers capable of storing and processing massive amounts of data, and specialists with expertise in working with AI models. She added that the quality of the final output depends on well-crafted prompts and a carefully organized production workflow.
"For many tasks, AI can indeed speed up production compared with traditional computer graphics. However, that does not change the fact that creating high-quality visual content remains a complex, highly skilled, and labor-intensive process," Strizhevskaya said.
The producer also noted that both traditional filmmaking and AI-assisted production require significant time investments and the involvement of qualified professionals.
