Optimacros: Setting a New Standard for Digital Planning in Logistics

By replacing a global software solution with a domestic alternative, Russian logistics companies are showcasing the maturity and competitiveness of local IT in transportation planning.

Another Milestone in Import Substitution

In 2025, Greenfields Logistics, one of Russia’s largest importers of exotic fruits and vegetables, completed a full migration from the foreign Anaplan platform to the domestically developed Optimacros system. The project, implemented in collaboration with IT integrator OptiTeam Consulting, covered sales forecasting, inventory control, and procurement management—with updates every 15–30 minutes.

This transition allowed the company to retain full operational control despite sanctions and the withdrawal of Western vendors. For the first time, a Russian integrated business planning (IBP) platform replaced a global standard without compromising functionality—while delivering added flexibility and performance. The move strengthens Russia’s technological sovereignty and demonstrates the maturity of its IT sector in mission-critical applications.

Optimacros as a Driver of Digital Logistics

The success of the Greenfields Logistics case opens the door for Optimacros to scale within Russia and abroad. The platform is already deployed by several major companies for automating financial planning, logistics, inventory, and analytics.

Optimacros supports seamless scalability across industries, including retail, FMCG, manufacturing, and transport. It is listed in Russia’s official software registry and can operate both on-premises and in the cloud—critical for companies handling sensitive data. The Greenfields case serves as a strong reference, proving that high-end planning tasks once handled by Anaplan can now be tackled by Russian technologies.

OptiTeam Consulting, the integration partner, is currently executing similar projects for e-commerce and logistics firms, underlining both the platform’s versatility and growing demand.

Russian IT Fuels Logistics Evolution

Over the past five years, Russia’s logistics and transport sector has undergone a major digital shift. In 2022, X5 Retail Group implemented a domestic ERP solution for its warehouse network. In 2023, BIA Technologies and Delovye Linii rolled out predictive analytics systems, and COMITAS launched AMR-powered automated warehouses.

In 2024, the National Clearing Center migrated from a Western database management system to a Russian-built alternative. And in 2025, Greenfields Logistics executed one of the most significant IBP transitions—from Anaplan to Optimacros—marking a major leap in import substitution and digital independence.

Meanwhile, Optimacros-based BI and supply chain management tools are enabling real-time cost tracking, route optimization, and budget control—laying the groundwork for a modern digital logistics infrastructure.

Russia Sets the Pace

The Greenfields case demonstrates the readiness of Russian IT to meet global standards in transportation and logistics. Optimacros not only matches Western competitors but often surpasses them in adaptability, implementation speed, and data security.

In the coming years, similar projects are expected across retail, FMCG, transport, and manufacturing sectors. Optimacros is poised to challenge international giants like Anaplan and SAP IBP, both within Russia and on the global stage.

Russia is positioning itself as an exporter of advanced IT solutions for transportation and logistics, showing that it can solve challenges of any scale using domestic technologies. Optimacros holds clear export potential, offering an alternative IBP system for markets in the CIS, BRICS, and other developing regions.
