Engineers at Rosneft's Ufa Design Institute have upgraded the company's RN SMT pipeline monitoring system. The software tracks the condition of 70,000 kilometers of field pipelines across all Rosneft operations.
The database contains comprehensive information on pipeline projects, maintenance history, and the composition of transported materials. The updated software automatically evaluates the reliability of every pipeline segment each day and generates a prioritized list of assets requiring attention. It ranks pipeline sections by the urgency of repairs and provides maintenance recommendations.
The system also monitors pipeline throughput in real time and assesses associated operational risks. Pipeline specialists use the data every day to analyze network utilization and infrastructure conditions, supporting informed operational and maintenance decisions.
