Rostelecom Subsidiary Unveils New Version of Aurora Operating System
The new release includes about 3,000 changes.

Otkrytaya mobilnaya platforma, a subsidiary of Rostelecom, has unveiled a new version of the Russian operating system Aurora. The new release is version 5.2.
The developers say the update was developed based on feedback received during beta testing. The operating system includes about 3,000 changes related to performance, security and usability. The key additions include support for browser-based PWA applications, deeper integration with MDM systems and Aurora Tsentr, as well as support for external cameras and microphones.
"Ideas from participants helped us implement such highly requested features as support for web applications, expanded support for peripherals and new capabilities for developers. For us, feedback is not just a collection of suggestions—it is a full-fledged tool for improving the product," said Tatyana Kaznova, head of community development for the Aurora operating system.
