Three new high-tech workshops have opened at Vladivostok’s Shipbuilding College with support from the Primorsky Krai government and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East. These practice-driven labs are designed to train skilled workers for the region’s key industries.

The “Virtual World Development” workshop trains students to create entire digital universes, covering the full production cycle from concept and 3D modeling to a ready interactive application.

In the “Virtual Metal Cutting Lab,” future shipbuilders practice CNC machine operations in a safe, simulated environment—eliminating risks of injury and damage to expensive equipment.

A separate digital workshop for medical students focuses on managing healthcare information systems. Trainees learn how to integrate medical equipment and handle electronic patient records.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, these new learning spaces are transforming education. Graduates enter the workforce with hands-on skills, directly strengthening the regional economy and meeting the talent demand in the most promising digital and tech sectors.
