As part of Russia's Tourism and Hospitality national project, the fortress tower at the intersection of Kutyakova and Vodnikov streets in Samara will be converted into an interactive tourist complex. Although the tower was reconstructed in 2017, it has remained unused for years. Every level of the building will now feature themed digital exhibits, including "Digital Twin of Prince Zasekin," "Boyar Duma," "Voivode's Alphabet," "Streltsy Chest," and a "VR Window." Using artificial intelligence, visitors will be able to interact directly with a virtual representation of Prince Grigory Zasekin, the city's founder. The nearby square at Khlebnaya Square will also be renovated with public art installations dedicated to the history of Samara's first fortress.

"We will also add photo areas, craft pavilions, and spaces for workshops and other public events. The tower will gain a new lease on life and become another attraction for both tourists and local residents," said Samara Mayor Ivan Noskov.

Once the project is completed, the city will launch its first municipally operated tourist route.
