VkusVill Expands Automated Routing for Courier Deliveries
The system is operating in 70% of dark stores in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

VkusVill and Veeroute have successfully expanded automated courier delivery routing to 70% of dark stores in Moscow and the Moscow Region. As of the end of September, the system was operating at 144 locations and handling up to 56% of orders.
The system automatically assigns orders to couriers, determines the optimal delivery sequence and notifies them when a route is complete and ready to start. Couriers can interact with the system through their work mobile app.
Couriers no longer have to constantly coordinate who will work where. Their supervisors, meanwhile, no longer need to continually monitor orders to make sure none are left pending.
The new tool has made the process simpler and easier to understand, which is particularly helpful for new couriers as they get up to speed. The algorithm also takes into account each courier’s individual speed and capabilities, allowing workloads to be distributed more fairly.
