ATLAS and Cod Bezopasnosti Build Turnkey Data Storage System for Government Agencies

Data storage manufacturer ATLAS and cybersecurity developer Cod Bezopasnosti (Security Code LLC) have completed compatibility testing between the ATLAS.SM storage system and version 4.0 of Sobol (Sable), a trusted boot module.

The module was tested in two configurations: an expansion card for a PCI slot and a compact board for an M.2 connector. Both versions were installed, initialized and put through a full diagnostic cycle in each storage controller, confirming compliance with trusted boot requirements. Sobol is certified by FSTEC Russia (Federal Service for Technical and Export Control), so customers can now order ATLAS storage systems with the security module installed, a configuration aimed at government agencies and critical infrastructure operators.

“Power-up is the point where the protection offered by any software ends and trust in the hardware itself begins,” said ATLAS Chief Technology Officer Dmitry Penzov.

Cod Bezopasnosti said the companies tested compatibility through the entire process, from installing the module to authentication across different platforms, giving customers a tested system rather than simply a recommended configuration. For the market, the combination adds another domestically developed data storage configuration with verified security protections.
