Russian Schoolchildren to Learn More About Nuclear and Quantum Technologies

Russia is modernizing its nuclear sector and advancing quantum research, and to secure future talent, Rosatom is expanding educational programs in schools across the country.

To achieve this goal, regional “Lessons in Digital Literacy” on quantum technologies are being organized under the auspices of Rosatom. In the coming days, classes will take place in the Omsk region.

Students will learn about breakthroughs in quantum computing and their applications in developing new materials. According to Rosatom’s press service, the key aim is to spark interest in quantum technologies among the younger generation, ensuring a skilled workforce and scientific potential for the future.

The classes are led by young scientists and educators involved in Rosatom’s quantum project. Delivered in an engaging, accessible format, they include quizzes and video screenings instead of dry lectures. Sessions are designed for children of all ages.

Last year, the program reached more than 700,000 schoolchildren in Russia, and that figure is expected to grow.
