Researchers at Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University have developed an AI-powered system for predicting mortality risk in patients with acute coronary syndrome. The technology is based on ensemble machine-learning algorithms. In testing, the model achieved accuracy levels that surpassed the widely used GRACE risk score, a standard tool in global clinical practice.

The researchers note that acute coronary syndrome remains one of the deadliest cardiovascular conditions. Choosing the right treatment strategy can be critical to a patient's survival. The new system can forecast the likely outcomes of different medical interventions, helping physicians select the safest and most effective treatment options. Its high level of accuracy was achieved by training the model on data from more than 13,000 patients.
