Nizhny Novgorod University to Launch Cybersecurity Platform
A new digital system will bring together universities across Russia’s Volga Federal District.
At Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, researchers are developing a digital platform focused on information security, the university’s press service said. The system will integrate educational, research, and methodological resources from universities across the Privolzhskiy federalnyy okrug (Volga Federal District).
The platform will serve as a unified database on information security. It will host teaching materials, course syllabi, instructors’ recommendations, and graduate research projects related to cybersecurity.
A Research Hub for Cyber Defense
The initiative also aims to create a repository of applied research and best practices for specialists, bringing together advanced teaching methods and academic publications on cyber vulnerabilities and protection against cyber threats. Developers expect the platform to evolve into a unified educational and information space for the Volga Federal District. Cybersecurity lessons are already being introduced in Russian schools, while IT companies are launching free courses for adults that focus on digital hygiene and online protection.
