Robots Arrive in Russia’s Far East: Government Support Accelerates Industrial Transformation
A Vladivostok startup is automating factories with state-backed innovation programs.

In Russia’s Primorsky Krai, the company Nextgen Robotics is deploying industrial robots across factories in the Far East — a milestone for regional industry modernization powered by multi-level government support including grants and subsidies.
A graduate of the Far Eastern Federal University with a degree in mechatronics and robotics, Sych described the company’s mission simply: “Integrating industrial robots means embedding them into production chains at enterprises across our region. In short, we help business owners eliminate routine tasks or minimize the cost of human error.”
Public Strategy Meets Private Initiative
Alongside regional initiatives, Nextgen Robotics also benefits from federal incentives such as the Industrial Cashback Program from Russia’s Industrial Development Fund, which allows clients to recover up to 20% of the cost of implementing robotic systems.
The story of Nextgen Robotics highlights how state policy and private innovation together are reshaping Russian manufacturing — creating technologies that not only modernize production but also make human work safer and more efficient.
