Rosatom and SPbPU Graduate the First New Generation of Nuclear Engineers
The engineers completed a specialized master's program launched in 2024.

The Advanced Engineering School "Digital Engineering" at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) has graduated the first cohort of master's students from its Digital Engineering of Core Process Equipment for Hydrogen Technologies and Next-Generation Energy Systems program. The program was launched in 2024 in partnership with Rosatom's Central Design Bureau for Machine Building (TsKBM).
The initiative is designed to train engineers capable of using digital twin technology to develop and design breakthrough industrial equipment that does not yet exist anywhere in the world. Throughout the program, students worked on real industrial challenges. For TsKBM, they modeled a new bearing for high-capacity pumps capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, high pressure, and intense vibration.
