The new program will offer 15 state-funded places beginning with the upcoming academic year. Students will study object-oriented programming, databases, artificial intelligence, multiphysics modeling, and industrial design. Training will be conducted using the CML-Bench platform, one of Russia's leading platforms for digital twin development. Industrial partners UEC-Saturn and SberEnergoDevelopment will provide students with real-world engineering projects.

"Manufacturing companies are already actively developing digital twins for their products, but they face a critical shortage of qualified personnel. An engineer working with digital twins must understand physics, mathematics, programming, and information systems. This is neither simply a physicist nor simply a programmer—it is a professional working at the intersection of several disciplines," said Sergey Veretennikov, Head of the Department of General and Engineering Physics.

Applicants must pass entrance examinations in mathematics, Russian language, and either physics or computer science.
