Stavropol Region Expands Number of Engineering Classes in Schools
Four Stavropol schools joined the Science to the Regions project in the new academic year, bringing the total number of participating schools to 71.
The project is being implemented jointly with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Since September last year, 149 engineering classes have opened at 67 schools across the region, with four more schools joining in August 2026. Students study mathematics and natural sciences in greater depth, work on projects, and use modern equipment.
The program also includes visits to industrial facilities and meetings with practicing engineers. This helps students develop engineering skills from an early age and make more informed career choices. Meanwhile, the region has Quantorium technology parks, Tochka rosta (Growth Point) centers and IT Cubes, where children study robotics, programming and 3D modeling.
