In less than a year and a half, AI-powered video analytics has helped locate 250 missing children in the Novosibirsk Region. The system was developed by NtechLab, a technology partner of Rostec.

The FindFace Multi system operates in the region as part of the Bezopasnyy gorod (Safe City) hardware and software system and analyzes video feeds from city cameras. The cameras are installed in crowded areas, at transportation infrastructure facilities, on streets and squares, and at government institutions. Residents of the region have been able to use biometric identification to search for missing children since April 2025.

Accurate recognition and rapid data processing allow law enforcement officers to quickly locate missing children. The same video analytics system also helps identify wanted criminals in cities across the region.

“In 2025 alone, law enforcement officers identified more than 3,000 offenders using video analytics,” the company’s press service said.

NtechLab develops neural network-based video analytics technologies, including facial recognition and recognition of human silhouettes, vehicles and license plates.
