Belarus Receives First Terminals for Rassvet Satellite System
The equipment will be tested by staff of the Ministry for Emergency Situations.

Belarus has received its first terminals for testing satellite communications provided by the Rassvet satellite constellation. Pavel Tkach, the country's First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization, announced the delivery.
According to Tkach, Ministry for Emergency Situations personnel will be the first to test the new technology. The Russian-made terminals are used in areas where ground infrastructure has sustained significant damage. Subsequent batches of terminals could be supplied to the civilian sector. Full-scale use of the new satellite communications service will become possible once the satellite constellation is expanded.
The telecommunications service is being developed by Russian company Bureau 1440. In 2026, the company conducted two batch launches of satellites for the Rassvet system. The satellites use a 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) architecture and are equipped with inter-satellite laser links and plasma thrusters.
