Operating Room With Robotic System Opens at the All-Russian Center for Emergency and Radiation Medicine
The new equipment significantly expands doctors' capabilities.
An operating room with a state-of-the-art robotic system has opened at the Nikiforov All-Russian Center for Emergency and Radiation Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in St. Petersburg. The equipment arrived at the facility a month ago. The robotic system consists of four manipulators and provides high-resolution three-dimensional visualization of the surgical field. The technology enables surgeons to perform precise manipulations and use diagnostic data directly during surgery. In addition, the system can be configured for specific types of medical interventions.
The new operating room was inspected by Alexander Kurenkov, head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. He also held a working meeting with Sergei Aleksanin, Director of the center. They discussed the facility's development, the adoption of advanced technologies, and improvements in the delivery of medical care.
