Retshogofaditswe Makoe: I Want to Learn More About New Technologies at the Forum
A South African participant in the Second Global Digital Forum spoke about his work in media and what he expects from the international technology event.
The Global Digital Forum, one of the fall's biggest industry events, opens tomorrow at the Mechta complex in Moscow's Gorky Park. Even before the business program begins, guests visited Skolkovo, where they shared their expectations for the GDF and their impressions of what they had already seen with a reporter from the IT Russia media platform.
Retshogofaditswe Makoe of South Africa, for example, hopes to discover interesting new speakers in Moscow:
– I represent a media company that works with countries across the Global South and cooperates closely with BRICS countries. We also work actively with the Russian and Chinese embassies. It was representatives of those embassies who helped us learn about this forum.
After arriving here, I saw how organized and professional people are in the way they work. I really like their approach and their level of professionalism.
At the forum, I'd like to learn something new about today's digital technologies, as well as meet experts from different countries, exchange experience and find opportunities for cooperation. For my part, I could share my expertise and experience in media, social media and journalism.
Notably, the forum's program includes events specifically aimed at digital media professionals and bloggers, among other participants.
