The regional government has approved a roadmap for introducing artificial intelligence across public agencies and has begun implementing the initiative.

The rollout will take place in two stages. The first focuses on assessing agencies' readiness: ministry employees are already completing surveys on how they currently use AI and where the technology could provide the greatest value. The assessment is being conducted jointly with the Bashkir Academy of Public Administration and Management. During the second stage, officials will identify the processes where AI can deliver the greatest benefits, including both functions common to all government agencies and sector-specific applications.

"These stages are only the first step toward the digital transformation of public administration. Once we identify the priority areas, we will begin pilot deployments of AI services in selected government agencies. At the same time, we will prepare the necessary datasets and strengthen AI-related skills among civil servants," said Gennady Razumikin, head of the republic's digital development agency.

Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov instructed all executive agencies to provide the regional Ministry of Digital Development with timely updates on their readiness to adopt AI technologies and on the priority areas identified for implementation.
