Sber Gifts St. Petersburg a Book Co-Written With Artificial Intelligence
At the 21st International Book Salon on Palace Square, Sber unveiled “Drevo zhizni Peterburga” (The Tree of Life of St. Petersburg), a book created by author Yulia Ivanova together with the GigaChat and Kandinsky neural networks.
Each spread in the book focuses on a historical figure or family dynasty connected to the city. The publication combines short biographies, lesser-known facts, descriptions of each figure’s contribution to St. Petersburg’s history, and illustrated artwork. Artificial intelligence helped edit the text, organize the material, and verify facts, while the illustrations were produced by artists working alongside the Kandinsky neural network.
The books will be distributed free of charge to libraries, schools, and cultural centers across the city. An online edition, audiobook version, and interactive quiz on St. Petersburg history are available at drevopeterburga.rf.
