Kurchatov Institute Launches Ongoing Testing of RuPost Software

At CIPR-2026, RuPost (asset of Astra Group) and the Kurchatov Institute agreed to establish a Software Testing Center for corporate-communications platforms. Experts will continuously evaluate new versions of the RuPost platform, the DesktopX mail client, and the WorksPad EMM solution, sharing deployment experience with industry players and recommending proven deployment approaches.

At the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia conference in Nizhny Novgorod, RuPost – part of Astra Group – and the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” signed an agreement to establish a testing center for the vendor’s unified corporate-communications products.

Experts at the new center will conduct ongoing testing and scientific-technical analysis of updated versions of the RuPost platform, the DesktopX email client, and the WorksPad mobile-workspace system. The goal is to provide the market with relevant implementation experience and recommend approaches and solutions that have been thoroughly tested and validated.

Under the agreement, RuPost will provide the technological foundation for the center and grant its partner non-exclusive early-access rights to use the company’s products. The vendor will also supply methodological recommendations, testing programs, and technical support for deployment of testing environments.

The Kurchatov Institute will provide intellectual and laboratory infrastructure, allocate computing resources and engineering personnel, conduct the testing itself, and prepare final reports containing software-improvement recommendations and assessments of product readiness for practical deployment.

RuPost plans to use the center’s findings to further develop its products and support joint initiatives aimed at promoting domestic IT solutions, including industry publications and presentations at professional events.

RuPost and the Kurchatov Institute have been working together for several years, and the research center already uses the developer’s software. The creation of the testing center became not simply a continuation of that cooperation, but another confirmation that domestic infocommunication technologies carry genuine strategic importance.

“Partnership with such an authoritative and respected organization as the Kurchatov Institute is a mark of quality, and one that carries enormous value. When your products are used and tested by a world-renowned scientific school with a history of breakthrough technologies and fundamental discoveries, it creates both major responsibility and a powerful incentive for further development. Establishing a testing center at the Kurchatov Institute will allow us to bring solutions to market that are ready from day one to meet the highest standards of major government, scientific, and industrial customers. I am confident that the results of our joint work will become a substantial contribution to Russia’s technological sovereignty in the field of corporate communications,” said Ilya Simonov, CEO of RuPost.
