Researchers at North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU), working with industry partners, have developed a multi-purpose drone designed for agricultural use. The platform can be used for fertilizer application, field monitoring, and cargo delivery. The team has built and tested several flight prototypes and completed the full set of engineering documentation required for production.

The production process has been established at the university. The drone is capable of carrying payloads of up to 10 kilograms and operating at distances of up to 10 kilometers.

“We have developed not just a flying prototype but a reproducible technology platform, complete with engineering documentation, a validated manufacturing process, and a clear understanding of how to quickly adapt the system to real market needs. Today it can monitor agricultural fields, and tomorrow it can deliver medical supplies to remote communities. The platform allows its functionality to be reconfigured rapidly without compromising reliability,” said Filipp Samoylov, associate professor at North Caucasus Federal University.

The drone's software can be configured for specific operational requirements. The development team is also prepared to customize the firmware and autopilot to meet individual customer needs.
