Agrofirma Chuvashi Gets High-Speed Internet in Kirov Region
The new connection will allow the agricultural company to roll out more digitization projects.
Rostelecom has connected Agrofirma Chuvashi in the Kirov region to high-speed internet. The new line supports data speeds of up to 200 Mbps. The company also received access to a cloud-based PBX while retaining all its existing phone numbers. The upgrade will improve communication within the company and with partners and customers.
“We laid one kilometer of fiber-optic cable from the nearest access node to the farm. The work was complicated by the need to bore a 20-meter section beneath a road and by the fact that most of the cable had to be laid underground rather than overhead. Even so, our employees and contractors completed the project ahead of schedule,” said Evgeny Valov, director of Rostelecom’s Kirov branch.
The agricultural company grows crops and raises cattle. Over the past several years, it has actively adopted digital technologies to manage production and administrative operations. Reliable wired internet and a modern communications system had therefore become essential.
