Iskra Technologies is developing a mobile IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem). The system is being built as hardware-independent software that runs on standard commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) servers and virtualization platforms, significantly expanding the capabilities of a private mobile network core.

The new system acts as a platform for processing and routing voice and video traffic, including communications using carrier standards such as VoLTE and ViLTE.

“For example, it can be used to deploy a full-featured PBX with short extension numbers for employees and dispatcher communications, as well as offer users additional services. The system can initially be deployed for several hundred subscribers and then scaled to tens of thousands of users without replacing the hardware,” said Svetlana Volkova, head of technical solutions at Iskra Technologies.
