Khabarovsk Region to Host Its First Phygital Soccer Tournament
The Khabarovsk region will hold its first official phygital soccer competition on Aug. 29 and 30.

The tournament will take place at the region’s first phygital center, a new-generation sports venue that combines physical and virtual competition. The center was built under the presidential Biznes-sprint (Business Sprint) project, and the tournament will be held with support from the Khabarovsk regional government.
Applications are being accepted online through Aug. 25, and participants must be at least 16 years old. The tournament has two stages: a physical competition featuring five-a-side soccer on the field and a digital competition with two-on-two matches in EA Sports FC 26. The winner will be determined by combining points from both stages, rewarding the team that performs equally well in conventional sports and in the virtual arena.
The largest previous tournament in this format was the Igry budushchego (Games of the Future), held in Kazan in 2024, where more than 2,000 athletes from 100 countries competed for medals.
