AI Cameras Take Waste Sites in Domodedovo Under Surveillance
Specialists at the Kashirsky regional operator receive around 500 signals daily from smart cameras in Domodedovo. Over the summer, they processed more than 50,000 such messages.
The pilot project with video surveillance and computer vision began in June. In the first phase, about 100 cameras were installed above container sites. They automatically analyze the video feed and immediately report violations to the operator's service dispatchers and local administration representatives.
The system detects overflowing containers, disposal of construction waste, bulky trash outside designated areas, piles of branches and street sweepings, dirt on adjacent territory, and vehicles blocking access for special equipment. Upon receiving a signal, specialists take measures to address the violation. Cameras were installed where waste previously accumulated in excessive amounts.
Igor Danilenko, Minister for Territory Maintenance and State Housing Supervision of the Moscow Region, previously said that sites in the region are under constant monitoring. Since 2025, mobile cameras have also been used for this purpose, showing their condition in real time.
