AI Helps Manage Ski Resort Tourists Flows in Russia

At Russia’s Rosa Khutor resort in Sochi, neural networks now guide the flow of skiers, analyze their technique, and even send them personalized coaching tips.

The Rosa Khutor ski resort is rolling out a sweeping digital strategy powered by artificial intelligence. Marketing director Nikolay Komolov outlined the approach at the international tourism forum “Leisure 2025.”

The centerpiece is an AI system that optimizes the capacity of ski lifts by predicting congestion and distributing skiers in real time. It pulls from historical records and live sensor data to forecast bottlenecks before they happen.

For guests, the resort developed an interactive trail map inside a mobile app. Visitors can not only plan their routes but also check how busy each slope is. A companion service called Yeti.Coach analyzes skiing technique and delivers custom recommendations to improve performance.

Behind the scenes, customer service has been retooled as well. Chatbots now handle up to 90 percent of incoming calls, while automated video generation tools send personalized messages to visitors. These AI-driven touches boost engagement and help sell more of the resort’s premium services.

Reporting processes also got an upgrade. A centralized data hub now integrates multiple systems, giving staff instant access to analytics and dashboards that once took hours to prepare.
