Chelyabinsk Opens First Phygital Center for Students and Schoolchildren
Chelyabinsk has launched a next-generation sports venue that combines traditional athletics with digital formats, while energy company Rosseti Ural provided the site’s electrical infrastructure.

The phygital center was designed as a unified space where digital technologies serve as a bridge to physical activity rather than a replacement for it. The facility includes a computer gaming hall with 20 stations, a PlayStation console zone, a VR area, locker rooms, showers, a medical office, a food court, coaching facilities, and a server room. The site is aimed at schoolchildren, university students, and their families.
To connect the center to the power grid, specialists from Rosseti Ural’s Chelyabinsk branch laid two underground power cable lines with a combined length of roughly 500 meters using horizontal directional drilling. The company also upgraded a transformer substation and installed modern electronic meters.
