The MANS02 crewless catamaran has completed its first sea trials in Amur Bay. The tests confirmed all of its main design specifications. The vessel reached a speed of 6 knots and demonstrated strong maneuverability and stability.

An engineer-operator was on board during the trials to monitor telemetry.

The 7.2-meter MANS02 is equipped with an all-electric propulsion system with a total output of 4.5 kilowatts, two electric outboard motors and lithium iron phosphate batteries, each with a capacity of 100 amp-hours.

MANS02 is being developed as part of a group that also includes aerial and underwater vehicles. The three could eventually be used for research and rescue operations. MANS02 is being developed under the Mezhsrednye robototekhnicheskie sistemy (Cross-Domain Robotic Systems) strategic initiative as part of the Prioritet 2030 (Priority 2030) program.
