RTU MIREA (Russia’s Technological University MIREA) has partnered with Laboratoriya Chislitel to begin training IT students on domestic software for monitoring and data analysis starting next academic year.

Students in the Information Technology Infrastructure track will study the Pult monitoring system, a Russian solution built on the widely used Zabbix, as well as Grafinya, a domestic alternative to Grafana for data visualization and analysis. Unlike its foreign counterpart, Grafinya was developed from scratch and avoids some of its known drawbacks, including instability during updates.

“The IT market is evolving, and it is important that the knowledge students gain at the university keeps pace with these changes. Skills in working with modern domestic software give our students a competitive edge and help them find jobs faster - not only after graduation but even in their later years of study. That is why we partner with vendors of Russian software and hardware,” said Andrey Timoshenko, vice rector for academic affairs at RTU MIREA.

The university’s Quantum Technologies lab is already testing Grafinya to monitor the server side of the Quantum MIREA platform.
