Novosibirsk Region Outpaces Other Siberian Regions in Industrial Robot Deployment
Industrial robots are used most extensively in mechanical engineering and instrumentation manufacturing.

Industrial robot adoption in the Novosibirsk Region is progressing faster than the average rate across other Siberian regions, according to Denis Ryaguzov, acting minister of industry, trade and entrepreneurship development for the region.
According to Rosstat, around 300 industrial robots were operating at manufacturing enterprises in the region in 2025. That represents roughly one-third of the entire industrial robot fleet in the Siberian Federal District.
“Robot adoption is most active in mechanical engineering and instrumentation manufacturing, where collaborative robots are used for assembly, along with welding and material-handling robots and automated inspection lines,” Ryaguzov said.
The region’s efforts extend beyond installing new high-tech equipment at industrial facilities. It has also established a strong training infrastructure for skilled workers.
