Perm to Develop Domestic Software for Agriculture
A university and two major companies have signed a three-party agreement.

Domestic software for the agricultural sector is set to be developed in Perm, the regional Ministry of Digital Development said. The agreement was signed at the Agrotekhnologii-2026 forum by Perm State Agro-Technological University, Bazalt SPO, and Akademiya biznes-resheniy. A new competency center for software development and a hands-on training platform for students and industry professionals will be established at the university.
Addressing Real-World Agricultural Challenges
According to Alexey Zabolotnykh, director of Akademiya biznes-resheniy LLC, the center will adapt software to meet the needs of the agro-industrial sector and support companies transitioning to Russian technologies.
At the forum, developers showcased Perm-based technologies for the agricultural sector, including a platform for early detection of lameness in livestock, an automated farm monitoring system, and tools for managing business processes and teams. Participants also discussed how digital technologies are reshaping agriculture in Russia.
