Under an investment program, the company has built a new fiber-optic line serving more than 700 households.

Five settlements in Russia’s Khakassia region now have access to a new fiber-optic network, giving more than 700 families wired internet speeds of up to 1 Gbps.

Stability and Speed

Rostelecom built new communication lines in the villages of Zhemchuzhny, Moskovskoye, Chapayevo, Novomaryasovo, and Sovetskaya Khakassia. The network uses GPON technology, often described as “fiber to the home.” The connection architecture and equipment are designed to ensure stable service and high data speeds even when multiple devices are online at the same time.

“Systematic expansion of telecommunications infrastructure is a key element of our regional strategy. Each year, we invest in upgrading existing networks and building new ones, which allows us to roll out home digital services,” said Natalya Bazhenova, director for the mass segment at the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.

Beyond Internet Access

Infrastructure expansion has been accompanied by a broader range of digital services available to subscribers. Customers can use the interactive TV platform Wink, as well as smart video surveillance systems and other products aimed at making everyday life more convenient. Company specialists assist with equipment setup tailored to customers’ needs, and 24/7 technical support is available via a hotline.

“Our task is not only to build networks, but also to ensure their uninterrupted operation and round-the-clock technical support for customers,” said Denis Zinovyev, deputy director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.

Rostelecom continues to expand connectivity across the country, as high-speed internet increasingly becomes a standard tool for work, education, and access to digital services.
