Rostelecom Expands High-Speed Internet Access in Khakassia
Under an investment program, the company has built a new fiber-optic line serving more than 700 households.
Five settlements in Russia’s Khakassia region now have access to a new fiber-optic network, giving more than 700 families wired internet speeds of up to 1 Gbps.
Stability and Speed
Rostelecom built new communication lines in the villages of Zhemchuzhny, Moskovskoye, Chapayevo, Novomaryasovo, and Sovetskaya Khakassia. The network uses GPON technology, often described as “fiber to the home.” The connection architecture and equipment are designed to ensure stable service and high data speeds even when multiple devices are online at the same time.
Beyond Internet Access
Infrastructure expansion has been accompanied by a broader range of digital services available to subscribers. Customers can use the interactive TV platform Wink, as well as smart video surveillance systems and other products aimed at making everyday life more convenient.
