A new online fleet-control service called Na Svyazi (In Touch) has been launched nationwide on the ERA-GLONASS platform, the operator’s press service said.

The online system aggregates data from onboard telematics equipment in a single-window interface. It operates by monitoring communication sessions of each vehicle equipped with satellite navigation and a SIM card from GLONASS.

Reducing Downtime and Helping Drivers Avoid Fines

The service helps fleet operators quickly identify vehicles where satellite navigation is not functioning, allowing them to prevent loss of connectivity and gaps in telematics data. This, in turn, helps drivers avoid fines.

The service can be activated through a personal online account. Users can monitor all vehicles connected to the ERA-GLONASS–based state information platform.

“By logging into the personal account, a fleet owner or operator can simultaneously monitor individual vehicles as well as entire fleets comprising dozens or hundreds of units. This will reduce the workload of dispatch services and increase transparency in transport management,” said Vladimir Kolodchikov, Managing Director for the Development of Monitoring and IoT Products at GLONASS.
