Novosibirsk IT Firms Showcase Breakthrough Technologies for Construction

Russian developments ranging from digital twins to AI assistants were unveiled at an international forum in Siberia.

The international forum and exhibition Sibirskaia stroitelnaia nedelia (Siberian Construction Week) has opened in Novosibirsk Oblast. IT companies presented technologies for construction, real estate development, and utilities that can be used both at the design stage and during the operation of facilities, according to the regional Ministry of Digital Development’s press service.

“Novosibirsk Oblast, as one of the country’s leading IT hubs, is ready to offer the market competitive digital tools for design and construction management,” said Sergey Tsukar, the region’s minister of digital development and communications.

One of the systems that drew significant attention was developed by ABC. The platform automatically generates cost estimates from a building’s BIM model, eliminating manual calculations. The technology, which has received awards from Russia’s Ministry of Construction, speeds up documentation preparation and improves the accuracy of estimates.

Another company, Geoscan, is creating digital twins of facilities—from bridges to stadiums—using laser scanning. This approach makes it possible to monitor construction quality at every stage, minimize defects, and carry out technical inspections.

AI Assistants and Cloud Services

The forum also featured AI assistants designed to automate routine tasks, a Russian platform for developers that has been added to the national software registry, construction equipment management systems, and cloud services for the housing and utilities sector.

A total of 40 discussions on digital transformation and infrastructure development are scheduled across the forum’s venues. On the final day, representatives of the IT sector are set to meet with major renovation operators to discuss the adoption of digital tools in residential repair projects.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia had launched a unified data platform for the construction industry, designed to allow all market participants to securely exchange information through a shared system.
