PJSC Rusolovo has begun construction of a new portal on the main transport decline at the Molodezhny mine. The facility will be equipped with automated doors designed to help significantly improve industrial safety at the site.
The built-in automation system is intended to prevent the spread of gas, dust, and fire between underground workings. A locking mechanism will also eliminate the risk of vehicles striking workers when people are present in hazardous areas. The technology is particularly relevant for mining and ore-processing operations that extract ore underground, where ventilation and the isolation of work zones are directly linked to worker safety.
