Russia Develops an AI Assistant for Medical Exam Preparation
The smart bot builds personalized learning paths for both early-career and experienced professionals.

Researchers at Tomsk State University have developed an AI assistant for physicians and medical students, the university’s press service said. Called DocAI, the cross-platform intelligent system is designed to help users prepare for medical exams. Pilot testing is set to take place at Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, which operates under Russia’s Ministry of Health.
According to Vitaly Terenin, the project’s author and a student at Tomsk State University, the system relies on advanced artificial intelligence methods and creates a unified educational trajectory, spanning from school-level training to postgraduate professional development.
Online Training
Today, a wide range of apps are available for exam preparation, but most function simply as drill tools with test questions. By contrast, DocAI allows users to ask questions directly and receive detailed explanations.
The project has already been showcased at several scientific exhibitions and conferences. Testing at Sechenov University is scheduled to begin in March.
