Russia Expands AI-Powered English Learning Platform for Schools
The upgraded “Digital Teacher” service now includes vocabulary tracking, grammar lessons, final tests, and personalized assignments powered by artificial intelligence.

Russia’s “Moscow Electronic School” platform has expanded the functionality of its AI-based English learning tool, “Digital Teacher.” According to the city’s Department of Education and Science, the update introduces new features aimed at making digital learning more interactive and adaptive.
A newly added “Dictionary” section allows the neural network to analyze a student’s vocabulary, detect mistakes, and automatically add difficult words to future exercises while tracking mastery over time. For tenth graders, the platform now includes advanced grammar topics, and students can choose exercise types, make unlimited attempts, and receive detailed explanations of their errors.
The AI also generates personalized lexical exercises designed to expand each learner’s active vocabulary. After successfully completing a final test, the system automatically promotes students to the next proficiency level, helping them progress faster and with greater confidence.
Smarter Tools, Broader Learning
Built on artificial intelligence, “Digital Teacher” covers the key levels of English proficiency—A1 (beginner), A2 (elementary), and B1 (intermediate).
Originally launched in 2024 as an AI math trainer, the platform introduced its English learning module in May 2025. Since then, its capabilities have continued to grow, reflecting Moscow’s broader effort to integrate AI-driven education tools into public schools.
The latest upgrade brings students closer to a personalized, adaptive learning experience, where every exercise adjusts to their pace, progress, and learning style—making the study of English more efficient and engaging than ever.
